What you see is what you get...

We were asked something strange this week; a customer enquired whether or not the showroom pieces were identical to the furniture they would receive if they were to order something from us.  

On further investigation it transpired he had been let down in the past when his new sofa arrived; whilst it looked the same, it was in fact very different from the one he and his wife had tried in the showroom where they bought it.  The overall feel and comfort of his sofa was different and even the scale of the furniture was not as he remembered in the store.

When he raised the issue with the store they explained that the display furniture was made by a different manufacturer - apparently this is more common practice than you may think.
